All Saints’ is a warmly evangelical Church of England church with a friendly welcome for children and adults. Though All Saints’ building has had an interesting history for more than 800 years (see the cannonball!), the church of today is a living community of Christians who gather to worship God and are sent out to share his love in our everyday lives.
Normally, our main morning service is at 10.30am on Sundays, when we use video projection of words and illustrations and during which we have groups for children and a creche area. If you visit us on a Sunday, we will help you feel at home. After the service there is time to chat over tea, coffee and biscuits served in the Barber Rooms, alongside the church building. These rooms, opened in 2014, are used by many groups including All Saints’ Little All Sorts baby and toddler group at 9.30am on Monday mornings in term time, Alpha courses and other Church and community meetings.
There is also a traditional service of Holy Communion at 9am each week. We run small groups to help us discover more about living as a Christian. We meet on Zoom on the first Wednesday of the month at 8pm to pray for the needs of the parish and the world.
We look forward very much to meeting and welcoming you whether you’re new to this area or have lived here a long time. If there’s anything you’d like to find out, including enquiring about a baptism or wedding, please contact the administrator for more details.
There is a welcome booklet based on our recent Parish Profile here.
