The Greenley shield

May 2022 - All Saints Bell ringers have won the Greenley Shield for being the best ringers in the Vale this year.

Thursday 19th May, 2022 was the first competition since before covid and was very well attended.  The Hinton Waldrist ringers put on an excellent social event during the evening while six bands went one by one to ring.  Faringdon put in two teams and the standard was such that the judges had a very difficult job.  The man in the street (perhaps that should be the man in the church yard) would have thought them all perfect.  For several years Faringdon and Shrivenham have vied for first place but this year Hinton was snapping at their heels.  Could be interesting next year!  In October we shall be off to the Diocesan competition.   More news of that later!  Come and join us on a Sunday or a Monday to see the shield.

Ringing times

Sunday 9.50 – 10.30 am

Practice Monday (except bank holidays) 7.30 - 9 pm. (If you come late to a practice there is an illuminated bell push by the door.)

Visitors very welcome any time. Bellringing is the hobby of a lifetime, come and see what it’s all about either on Sunday or Monday.
