The Holy Land - 7.45pm - 9pm on Thursday, 11 July in the Barber Rooms. Paul Winchester will focus on the area from the north of Jerusalem to the Sources of the Jordan.
There will be a retiring collection for "Embrace the Middle East" (formerly the Bible Lands Society), a Christian charity which for more than a century has served people of all faiths in that area, providing medical, educational and social support to the most vulnerable, poverty stricken and handicapped people. The collection after the previous talk amounted to £104, a very generous sum which will be greatly appreciated by the most needy in the Holy Land and surrounding countries. Contributions to this collection are of course entirely voluntary.
All are welcome.
